It's late January, and it's coming down to the wire in the ACCHL. For the first time in a long time the Deacs are on the outside looking in at the playoff picture. Sitting 3-3 in league play and losers of 4 games in a row it has not been an ideal season in Winston-Salem. That being said, it is not over. Not by a long shot. 

The Deacs have three games left in league play to capture 5 points to guarantee themselves a spot in the ACC playoffs come late February. Are they worried? Ask them

"No. We're not worried. It's not everything that we wanted for January when we started in September, but this is a very good hockey team. Sure we've had some adversity in the last few weeks but we're going to be fine. " (Chauvin)

"It's gonna be tough, but anyone can beat anyone in this league for sure" (Blakely).

The Deacs are in action 5 more times this season, with 3 of those having crucial league points on the line

v GW 1-27

v JMU (league) 1-28

v Duke (league) 2-3

v Elon (league) 2-4

v UVA 2-10

All games will be at the Annex.

UVA loses their last game (1-27 @Denison) Deacs need 3 points to clinch the 8th playoff spot. (could clinch 2-3 v Duke)

UVA wins their last game, Deacs need 5 points to clinch the 8th playoff spot (would come down to the last day 2-4 v Elon)
