Last weekend, the puck dropped on the 25th Season of ACC Hockey M2 Division with games from Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia to UNC-Wilmington.  The University of Richmond also began their inaugural ACC Season with a split of league games, beating UNC-Wilmington 2-1 in the season opener, and dropping to University of North Carolina 6-3 at home.

North Carolina began the season with a pair of wins (6-3 vs. Richmond, and 2-1 over Christopher Newport).  The Tar Heels owed much of their success to their sophomore goalie, Will Douthit, who saw 70 shots on net, and made 66 saves (GAA 2.0, .943 Save %) on back to back games.  Will hails from Chicago, IL and is excelling as an Investment Management Major at UNC.  This was Will's first two ACC games in a Tar Heel uniform.  We look forward to seeing more of his talents on the ice in the upcoming league games and UNC Alumni Game on 28 September.  Congratulations to Will and the Tar Heels for a tremendous start to the 25th ACC Season!
