As one of nine founding members of the ACC Hockey League in 1995, our administration is ecstatic to have Old Dominion University return "Home" after a two decade absence!  This past weekend, The Monarchs competed in back-to-back games with their Patriot Division and in-state rival Northern Virginia....and they dominated on ice.  While there were several ODU student-athletes who had outstanding performances over the weekend, Senior Bailey Johansen was selected as ODU's first ACC Player of the Week.  Bailey tallied 7 points (5 Goals, 2 Assists), including a hat trick on Saturday's game, his second of this early season.  "He is a strong leader on the ice and in the locker room for the Monarchs.", reported Coach Adam Danforth.  Bailey hails locally from Virginia Beach and excels in his academic major, Civil Engineering.  Congratulations to the Monarchs, Bailey, and Coach Danforth for a tremendous start to their first season back under the ACC Hockey League banner!
