NC State hockey has started the season where they left the program last spring - running out to a 5-1 start.  This past weekend, the Wolfpack competed in the Liberty Tournament against three out of league M2 National powerhouse clubs: Liberty, Denver, and U-Mass.  NC State skated to a 2-1 weekend record, only losing to Denver, 6-5.  Sophomore Alex Robinson contributed in all three games earning 3 goals and 2 assists.  Just as important, the back checking, and grinding for the puck on all his shifts earned him an incredible +5 for the weekend.  Alex hails originally from Apex, North Carolina, and majors in Mechanical Engineering.  Congratulations to Alex, Coach Gazzillo, and the entire Icepack for maintaining the dedication and extraordinary effort thus far this season.  Look forward to seeing the Wolfpack on the ice to honor Stephen Russell at the upcoming ACC Tournament in Charlotte.
