Virginia Tech Hit the Ice for the ACC Stephen Russell on Saturday morning with focus and purpose. The result was that the Hokies earned first place in the Hardest Shot Competition and the Shootout Competition, and a second place finish for the Goalie competition to fall one point short of the all-time record held by Duke. The 8 points propelled Virginia Tech into the de facto tournament championship game against NC State on Sunday. The Wolfpack beat the Hokies for their second Stephen Russell Tournament title, but Virginia Tech finished third overall. This was their highest finish in the tournament, which was facilitated by the Hokie Skills Competition Team. Congratulations to the Hokies and best of luck in the remainder of the season!
