College of Charleston (18 November)

The College of Charleston had a huge weekend, thanks in large part to their Senior Net Minder, Sean Edmonds. In two games against cross state rival Coastal Carolina, Sean posted a .955 save percentage (43 shots against on Friday, 47 SA on Saturday) and a GAA of 2.00 in the two games.  Friday night saw Sean carry a shutout for 52 minutes and perhaps save of the year leaping from out of position to stop a point blank back door one timer in the closing moments of the second period that would have brought CCU back to within one.  It was difficult for Sean to exceed his performance Friday night in the second game on Saturday night,  but he this night, Sean stood on his head.  At the end of the second period, again CCU made a heavy push, Sean stopped 8 shots in the final 60 seconds of the period which saw CofC struggle to get out of the defensive zone.  Sean delivered both nights when the defense broke down and a big stop was needed.

Sean is from Landenberg, PA and studying Exercise Science with a GPA of 3.0.  He is planning on pursuing postgraduate education in Physical Therapy after graduating in the Spring.  Congratulations to the Sean and the entire team for a phenomenal first semester of ACC Hockey which has the team ranked #11 in the ACHA Southeast!
