WINSTON-SALEM, NC: In the second game of the ACCHL D3 tournament, it was the Liberty Flames getting past the High Point University Panthers, by a score of 3-2.
The first goal of the game came with 5:27 remaining when Liberty’s Scott Chisholm scored with help from Kenny Fogerty and Christian Kline. That goal would be the only one in the period.
With just 2:19 gone in the second, High Point’s Tyler Calkins would tie the score with assists from Robert Cazzolla and Connor Duncan. With 14:14 remaining Liberty’s Graham Wood would regain the lead for the Flames with help from Chisholm and Adam Partridge. Mike Williams of Liberty would extend the lead with an assist from Andrew Pascarella with 11:49 remaining.
High Point would get a goal with just twelve seconds remaining. Dakota Johnson got the goal with an assist from Sean Egan. Kyle Wesbury would get the victory in net for Liberty, while Sean Moreau was in net for High Point.
