West Virginia opened the '21-'22 hockey season with two impressive league wins in Raleigh, NC against rival NC State.  The Mountaineers found the net for 14 goals over the weekend.  Key to the team's success is Senior Captain Sam Miller who earned 4 points (3 G's, 1 A).  More importantly, her steadfast leadership was evident on the ice and in the locker room.  Sam has plans to continue her education as a Grad Student in preparation for her future career of service as a High School English Teacher.  Sam hails from Victor, NY.  Congratulations to Sam for being selected as the ACC W2 Player of the Week.  Also, congratulations to Sam, Coach Mundy, and her fellow Mountaineers for a great start to their ACC hockey season!
