Virginia Tech (21 October)

Virginia Tech has been unstoppable this season, skating through opponents every weekend.  This past week, the Hokies traveled to Morgantown, and lined up against West Virginia.  Once again, Virgina Tech returned home to Blacksburg with two solid wins, beating the Mountaineers, 5-2, 8-0.

Senior forward Gavin Peduzzi recorded 4 points (2G, 2A) and in doing so became the all-time points leader in Virginia Tech history with 154.  Gavin passed ACC Hall of Famer Henrik Pettersson (Class of '02) who played for the Hokies more than two decades prior.  Gavin is also only the 17th ACC Student-Athlete to have been named the ACC Player of the Week more than once in the 29 year history of the League.

Gavin hails from Frederick, Maryland and will graduate next spring with a degree in Architecture.

Also, Congratulations to Head Coach Joey Mullen who in his 14th year, earned his 194th win, surpassing ACC Hall of Fame Coach Roger Voisenet who earned 192 wins in his 15 years coaching with the University of Virginia.

Congratulations to Gavin, Coach Mullen and the entire Hokie Hockey Family for a phenomenal start to the season.
