The 10th Annual ACC Fall Classic Tournament was held in Springfield, Virgnia for the 3rd consecutive year. Twenty-five teams participated (9 Premier, 16 Elite) in three league games throughout the weekend in what is the largest collegiate showcase tournament in the country. Only one Premier Team and two Elite Teams went 3-0, Penn State University, Saint Joseph's, and Wake Forest University. Saint Joseph's won the Elite Tournament Bracket by points, with 25, edging out Wake Forest (23 points), the only other undefeated Elite Team for the weekend. University of Virginia (2-1) finished third with 20 points.
In the tournament, Saint Joe's beat East Carolina 5-2 on Friday, Charlotte 4-3 on Saturday, and Richmond 4-1 on Sunday.
Saint Joseph's is currently tied for first place in the Elite Capital Division with 18 points, and has already secured a birth in the ACC Elite Championship Tournament.
The Elite Tournament MVP for the weekend was Freshman forward Robert Romarino. Robert earned 5 points (3G, 2A) on the weekend. He hails from Williamstown, NJ and is enrolled in Philadelphia as a Sports Marketing major.
This is Saint Joseph's first ACC Fall Tournament Championship.
