Maryland completed the fall season of hockey with a double header Mid-Atlantic Division rival Rider over the weekend. The Terps dropped the first game, 6-2, but rebounded for an 8-6 win the following night in a wild finish, which witnessed three shorthanded goals from the Terps.
Assistant Captain, Tucker Healey had a phenomenal weekend, earning 3 goals, 5 assists, scoring a hattrick in the Terps win on Saturday. He scored on a shorty, the game winning goal, and an empty netter to seal the win.
Tucker has 10 goals, 21 assists in 22 games played this season. He has earned 114 points in 97 games for his career at Maryland.
Tucker hails from Stamford, Connecticut and is majoring in marketing and finance.
The win gives the Terps 9 points for the season, and currently a bid into the ACC Championship Tournament.
Congratulations to Tucker, Head Coach Joe Carter, the entire Maryland Hockey staff and family for a tremendous fall semester of hockey ending on a win.
