In just their third season, High Point Women's Hockey has taken the ACC by storm.  After missing the playoffs the first year, the Panthers have climbed to the top of the ACC Women's League for the past two years.  That's right - the Panthers are once again the ACC Champions taking home the Commodore's Cup for that past two seasons!

High Point earned a first seed bye in the quarterfinals and met a gritty #5 seed West Chester squad who had taken town local favorite Georgetown, 1-0, the day prior.

With the game tied 1-1 going into the third period, High Point found a higher gear, finishing the game with three (3) unanswered goals, to win 4-1.  

In the finals, the Panthers met the Hokies of Virginia Tech for the second year, in a rematch of last year's ACC Finals.  High Point once again came away with a hard fought win beating the Hokies 6-4 (EN). 

High Point is the first team to win multiple championships in the six year history of ACC Women's Hockey.

Congratulations to the High Point women student-athletes, Head Coach Kim Starcher, the entire coaching and support staff, and the family and fans of Panther Hockey.  Looking forward to more great achievements in the future from this very young program.
