Radatovich Shows Patience, Gives His Team an Overtime Win

Speedy forward, Ricky Chen, capitalized on a power play goal at 12:26 in the third period to make it a 4-2 University of North Carolina (UNC) lead. The University of Tennessee fought their way back from a two goal deficit to tie the game, but fell short in overtime.

UNC’s Brendan Radatovich scored 4:59 into overtime to beat the University of Tennessee 5-4.

Radatovich had two goals and one assist to lead UNC. He scored the first of his two goals with an assist from Jonah Graffius at 5:18 into the third period to make the score 3-2.

The Tar Heels also received points from Andrew Jordan, who netted a beautiful goal with precision accuracy. He also added an assist.

Ben Gurlitz showed his finesse as he also scored just inside the blue line by picking the lower corner of the net. Ben Sisemore played a solid two way game and contributed two assists. Vincent Boudreau, Ian Hawkins, and Chris Vaiu also added an assist during the game.

The UNC Tar Heels put the University of Tennessee goalie to the test throughout the game as he took on 35 shots.

Gabriel Harousseau played a great game between the pipes helping his team win its second game in a row. He stopped 26 quality shots, with many coming in short-handed play. Harousseau remains undefeated this season as a first year freshman goalie.

UNC faces off against the University of Tennessee for their second matchup. Sunday November 15th at 10:15am at the Orange County SportPlex.
