Georgetown University - (23 Oct 2016)

Oliver Sippel's 4 goals - 2 game winners - and 1 assist carried Georgetown to critical league victories over USN (4 Georgetown - 2 USN) and St. Joe's (4 Georgetown - 3 St. Joe's).  Against Navy, Sippel's second goal secured the win in dramatic fashion.  With the score tied 2-2 with just over a minute to go, Sippel calmly collected and cooly buried a rebound in the slot to give Georgetown the win.  Against St. Joe's, Sippel scored two highlight reel goals.  While short handed, Sippel made a diving play in the defensive zone, denying St. Joe's a scoring opportunity and kick-starting an odd man rush.  Sippel raced down the ice and slotted home a perfect saucer pass from line mate Harrison Clifford (Co-captain, Sr, Connecticut).  Late in the third period with the score tied 3-3, Sippel scored his second of the game and his second game winner in consecutive nights as he finished off a tic tac toe passing play down the ice with a quick one timer from the slot.  In addition to his goal scoring heroics, Sippel was all over the ice, killing penalties, blocking shots, and back checking relentlessly.   Oliver Sippel's phenomenal play helped put Georgetown back in the ACC playoff discussion!
