Colonials Go 8-1 to Earn Top Seed in ACC Championship Tournament

George Washington Earned their first ACC Season Title and #1 Seed in the ACC Championship Tournament.  In 2010, GWU moved up from the ACHA M3 Blue Ridge Hockey League to join the ACC Hockey League.  In 8 short years, the Colonials earned their first Season Title going 8-0 before their cross town rivals, Georgetown ruined their perfect season with a 7-4 victory in the last week of the season.  George Washington is coached by Jon Moynihan (twice ACC Coach of the Year) and David Baratta.  The locker room is led by seniors, Center Alec Weinberg and Defenseman Alex Katsihtis with sophomore Alec Astorga between the pipes.  Congratulations to the Colonials for their season success - look forward to GWU kicking off the Championship Tournament against division rival Saint Joseph's at 2pm, Friday!
