The 49'ers kicked off the 2018-2019 season with two perennial top 10 ACHA Southeast teams on the road.  After losing to a very strong Liberty team, 3-2, UNC-Charlotte bested ACC rival Virginia Tech 6-2.  Andrew Miller scored the first goal of the season for the 49'ers to tie Liberty at 1-1 early in the game, and scored a hat trick against the Hokies the following night.  Andrew led his team and was credited with 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists) in the two games.   Andrew is just one of 10 ACC Hockey student-athletes to be awarded Player of the Week honors on multiple seasons.   Congratulations to Andrew and the 49'ers!
