As in the past, this year's Annual ACC Stephen Russell Tournament was competitive late into Sunday's competition with three teams in contention for the championship. NC State and Georgetown had finished the weekend undefeated and both teams earned 30 points. UVA needed a hard fought 2-1 victory over a talented Wake Forest team to secure the title with 31 tournament points. With the score knotted at 1-1 late in the third period, Ian Murdoch rushed the slot and roofed a rebound to put the Cavaliers up for the one point victory. NC State and Georgetown finished the tournament 3-0 and tied for second place with 30 points. UNC-Charlotte won the Tournament Skills Competition with 7 points.
