60 minutes of hard fought hockey and breathtaking goaltending

The Demon Deacons traveled to Hillsborough looking to add another tally in the win category.

The Demon Deacons travelled to Hillsborough, NC this past Friday to take on league rival Elon in a close fought battle.

The game started with a scoreless first period, but tons of action nonetheless. Great goaltending by both goalies kept the puck out of the net, despite facing many shots by both teams. The first goal of the game came from Drew Gebhardt in the second period, when he slid one on the ice past Elon’s goaltender. The next goal came in the third period from freshman Brendan Gregoire who slammed one home in the slot from a pass by line mate Nick Keroack. The Deacs kept their 2-0 lead up till the end of the game when Elon scored with a little under a minute left in the third. Despite this hiccup, the Deacs battled hard the last minute to ensure their win and gain a couple more league points.

The Demon Deacons will be traveling to Morgantown, WV this weekend to take on West Virginia for the second time this season.
