Rowan University/M2 (2 October)

This is Rowan Universities second season in the ACC, finishing third overall last season and reaching the ACC semifinals in the championship tournament.  This season, as the Profs celebrate their university's 100th birthday, and under new head coach Brien Bennett, the ice hockey team is off to a strong start (4-2).

One of the reasons for the Profs early success is freshman net minder Matt Lynch.  Matt has accumulated a 3-0 record early with a .937 save percentage and a 2.50 GAA.  The numbers are noteworthy against any opponents, but when you consider these numbers against 2023 ACHA Southeast #1 Liberty, 2023 ACHA Northeast #9, ACC M2 Elite Champion Saint Joseph's, and ACHA M1 Lehigh, Matt's performance is clearly deserving of recognition.

In the second game of a double header weekend against Liberty, Matt faced 75 shots and made 72 saves leading the Profs to a 4-3 victory.  For that performance, Matt has earned recognition and was voted ACC M2 Player of the Week.  Matt is an Accounting Major and hails from Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

Congratulations to Matt, new Head Coach Brien Bennett, and the entire Rowan Ice Hockey team.  Looking forward to the Profs making a huge impact again in their ACC Hockey sophomore year. It's been a professional privilege to have Rowan Hockey participate in the ACC Top Tier Premier League.
