Charleston missed the ACC Playoff Tournament for the first time in their long history last season.  But the Cougars are back this year with a large freshman class, renewed dedication and focus.  Off to a great start, the Cougars hosted their cross-town rival, the Citadel this past weekend.  

The Cadets of Citadel had no answers to slow down or stop the Cougar offense, led by freshman Ethan Holston.  Ethan scored four goals and tallied one assist leading the Cougars to a 9-0 route in front of more than 200 fans in Charleston.  Ethan hails from Charleston, South Carolina, but played for AAA Maine Moose prior to returning to the College of Charleston.  As an aside, Ethan's accomplishments also coincided with his 19th birthday!

Congrats to Ethan, his teammates, the Cougar staff, and long time head coach Steve Barton for a terrific start to the new season.
